Tenderfoot Tactics is an adventure and tactical role-playing video game that puts you into a lush painting-like world full of mystery, danger, and the all-encompassing magic of nature. You play as a witchy goblin given the power to call forth the aid of the elemental spirits living within your world. Forced to leave your home because of the terrible Fog, you set out on a journey to see the rest of the islands around and the other goblin towns on them—and along the way, save them from the perils that you escaped from.
Just Like the Classics
In Tenderfoot Tactics, the world is vast and full of surprises. Boasting a full-on open-world exploration that will let you choose where the winds will take you, this game allows you the chance to see the places and patches of nature that you may use to your advantage in combat. As a goblin imbued with the power of the elements, you can open chasms, raise mountains, boil lakes, drain rivers, and even start dangerous fires. Be careful, though, because influencing Mother Nature this way can affect the world. Your fires may spread to engulf an entire forest—and eventually harm you. As an RPG, you’re not going to be alone, though. You can create an adventuring party and all of your goblin’s distinct evolutions are job classes you can use on the battlefield. Need a nature whisperer? The Druid is your guy. Need more curses? You can try partnering up with a Shaman. Tenderfoot Tactics’ combat system is also unique in how there are no random miss chances or damage ranges. It’s pretty easy to learn for turn-based strategy gameplay, so if you’re up for exploring a vast world and using all resources at your disposal to make for a great adventure, this is a highly recommended title.
